Over our last  financial year, we successfully hosted 2000 individual workshops and classes for orphaned and vulnerable children between pottery studios and recreational centres in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The following partner charities were reached: James House, Home from Home, Fikelela Childrens Home, Education Beyond Borders, Orphan Care Foundation, Rock Girl, Bright Start, Rainbow Dreams Trust, Tenterden Place of Safety, Coma Care Heads Up, The Baby House, Ikemeleng Youth Centre, Leratong Childrens Home, Kids of Hope, Ikhaya Lomusa, Usindiso Shelter, Kids Haven, Hope House, Mani Ghingi and Dominican School for the Deaf, Witteboom.

ART in the FOREST now sponsors the full Light From Africa Foundation Outreach Programme at their studio where the resident artists run weekly classes for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Delivery
Each one of our workshops is facilitated by a professional in their respective field and assisted by a highly skilled ceramic artist/ pottery teacher.  All classes are taught by professional ceramic artists and qualified pottery teachers.   All ceramic art works that are made during the workshops are professionally finished, fired and returned to each participant as a permanent and tangible reminder of what they have learnt.
